Jenny is an acupuncturist and herbalist trained in Classical and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has a masters degree in this subject from a full time four-year program at Daoist Traditions in Asheville, NC and is licensed by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and North Carolina Acupuncture Licensing Board (NCALB).
She works with all health issues and specializes in helping people get deep and restorative sleep. She is inspired by current research that shows how important quality rest is for our physical, mental, and emotional health. Starting with improving sleep is a wonderful place to start, and the journey of truly resolving sleep issues usually requires addressing other health complaints related to pain, stress, anxiety and depression, menstruation and hormonal imbalances, digestion, and hypertension among others.
Jenny has post-graduate training in the Clinical Rotations program offered by Yao Shan Center for Chinese Medicine in Washington, D.C. and is currently deepening her knowledge of Chinese Herbal medicine there as well. These trainings help her bring new perspectives and knowledge into her practice daily. She believes that each person's health and wellness is a unique and personal journey, and is honored to walk beside her patients as an ally.
She loves outdoor adventures and enjoys finding new hikes with her husband and dog. She can also be found crafting flavorful and (usually) healthy dishes that reflect the seasons, especially when the garden is rockin.
LGBTQIA+ and Trauma Informed
Jenny is sensitive to the needs of queer, transgender and gender non-conforming patients. Her office is a welcoming place for all bodies of all races, genders, sizes, and abilities.
